Every year on June 25th the annual Day of Smiles occurs! Day of smiles is held to raise money for Operation Smile. What is Operation Smile you say? They are fundraising money to fund mission trips to help children all over the world remove and fix cleft lips. It only costs $240 to give a child the opportunity to smile that whey wouldn’t have without our help.
Some facts about cleft lips/palates:
1. Every 3 minutes, a child is born in the world with a cleft lip/pallet.
2. A Cleft lip creates difficulty with eating, and can even create starvation in a child.
3. Some children with cleft lips have difficulty speaking and their hearing is impaired
4. they can be fixed, but only with the help of people like you!
We are proud to say this is the 2nd year in a row we have fundraised are we are excited to continue to fundraise for operation smile and continue to help kids across the world!
