Vincent's Promotion to Assistant Management!

The best part about Northwestern Marketing Concepts, is watching how people grow and advance in their career through there time here. We have always known that Vincent would be a large part of our successes, so we are proud to announce his official promotion to assistant management.

Vincent was actually an Idaho native, born and raised in Fruitland, a town of about 4,000 people, actually a one stoplight town. He grew up playing sports, mostly football and track, but found his real desire in music. He devoted most of his time to the marching band, as he earned the spot of captain his sophomore year of high school. He loved the camaraderie of the marching band, and found a lot of fulfillment in the music industry.

When it came to furthering his education, he then decided that he wanted a big college experience so he attended Washington State University in Pullman, WA. There, he studied Music and Political Science, and was also a part of the marching band, and Beta Theta Pi fraternity. At first, he thought that law school was the next step in his future but after dipping his toes it it, he decided it wasn’t for him, plus another 3 semesters of school didn’t sound like something that was worth it at the time. After school, he had an internship with the Idaho Democratic Party which ended up just being data entry and answering the phones, which wasn’t the career he desired. He didn't enjoy the environment and there was not a lot of opportunity to move up or progress within that career path. A few days later he received a call from Molly, a member of our HR Team, on January 22nd 2015 to be exact. She spoke about an opportunity to work with a sports-minded marketing company that gave him the opportunity to progress and move forward which was exactly what he had been looking for, so he decided to give it a try.

January 27th 2015 was the day his career began. He was captivated by the fun atmosphere and the positivity in the office so he decided that this was the beginning of his new career.  At first he tried to balance the internship with this career path and it didn't prove to be successful, so he left the internship and decided to completely commit my time to progressing within the company. Now only a short time later, that decision has proven to be a good one.

“My favorite part about this business is that everyone in this business has the opportunity to grow and pave their own way to success regardless of background or experience. I also love the fact that all of the tools and resources needed to be successful are always at our disposal within this business. The reason that I am so excited to be an assistant manager is that I can now broaden my scope and help so many other people reach their goals. This is the next step of many but I know that I possess the tools in order to further help other people.”.

His favorite quote is from Thomas Edison: "I have not failed, I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." He particularly loves this quote because it spins failure in a positive light and treats as a learning experience rather than something negative.

Vincent has a goal to be promoted into the management position in May of 2016 and we are looking forward to being a part of his continual growth in the company. We are so proud of you Vincent for taking this next step in your career, and we are looking forward to watching to you continue to grow and advance!
